American girl tote bag?

I'm interested in finding out more about the newer American Girl tote bag that can be purchased at the American Girl Places. This is the red/black bag with an American Girl Place emblem on it that you can use to carry an American Girl doll in. Does anyone have this tote bag? Does it work well? Can you tell me how much it costs at the American Girl Places? Thanks! - Meg B.

AGPC was sold out of them the last time I was there and are still sold out according to dianasmama, who was there today. I think they are $18 or so. They are really cute. I did see them when they were first out but foolishly decided I would wait. Well I'm really waiting now!

Thanks for the feedback. I think I'd like to get one of these but I was curious if it was worth the ebay price or not. These totes seem to be going for at least $28 or so on ebay. It sounds as if I may want to wait until I visit the LA American Girl place after they open next spring. Hopefully they'll have them there. We're definately going to be taking a family trip to California once they open! - Meg B.

We had to get ours from Chicago because NY had sold out, but this was a couple weeks ago. I believe it was $18, and I think worth every penny. DD took 2 dolls to the beach, and it had enough room for their clothes. One girl on each side fit, but it was very snug. It really was made for just one doll, but we made the 2 work. I would grab it fast! [img]smile.gif[/img]

It is very cute - the bottom part is black - then there is a zipper half way so in the bottom part you can put your purse, keys, camera and make-up bag easily - in the top part which is the AG red with white stars and AG printed all over, you can sit up to two dolls. There is also a small zip-bag in that part. There is a fastener in the middle with two width to hold the doll around the legs and she has also some support from the bag around her back so she shouldn't tumble out of it.

I tried it with one and two dolls. With one doll you can still carry it over your shoulder, with two dolls it's not very comfortable to carry it that way - maybe easier for a child or someone who is more on the petite side.

Yesterday I gave it to Kamilla and she loves it.
